Leadership

There’s an exceptional team that comprises the “We” in Walker Electric. Our company leaders make us a powerful partner for your projects thanks to their experience, expertise and dedication to excellence.

Michael J. Walker, PE: President, Project Executive/Engineer
Walker, a 30 year veteran of the industry, leads projects and engineers solutions for our clients. In his 15+ years at the helm of our company, he’s overseen the construction of millions of square feet of highly sophisticated systems across the U.S. These projects total well into the millions in dollar value as well. Early in his career, he served as an Engineer with Georgia Power and participated in the design and construction of Power Plant projects before moving on to opportunities to focus on Design/Build projects in Nashville. Ultimately he launched our company to take his design build expertise direct to an array of clients nationwide. Registered in 21 states, Walker earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and his MBA from West Georgia College.

Henry C. Clark, Jr.: Senior Project Manager
Clark has invested 10 years of his 30+-year career in the electrical construction trade with Walker Electric. His experience includes service as an Electronics Technician in the U.S. Navy, as well as a tenure teaching the Electrical Apprentice School. His project experiences include EPCOT and Space Mountain at Walt Disney World to Hellfire Missile Facility for Martin Marietta. Claris holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and is a NECA Apprentice Program and Estimating and Project Control graduate.

Joe Gower: Senior Project Manager
Gower brings a quarter century of experience to every project he leads for Walker Electric clients. For 15 years, he’s applied his vast experience and NECA Apprentice Program education to some of our company’s most demanding projects. From the Nissan Production facilities in Smyrna, Tennessee and Canton, Mississippi to 600,000 Distribution center in Dublin, Georgia that required a 6-month start-to-finish timeframe, Gower has adeptly led Walker Electric to provide our clients’ exceptional leadership and solutions.

Mark McClish: Assistant Project Manager
McClish is an able manager who draws from 15 years industry experience and an array of apprentice and training programs to help lead Walker Electric projects. Among his project accomplishments, McClish provided on-site project management for the Joint Institute of Biological Science in Oak Ridge, Tennessee—a 45,000 square foot, $1.3M facility, as well as the CSB Power Upgrade project also in Oak Ridge. Other project leadership roles have taken McClish on site everywhere from Utah to Virginia for clients including Frito-Lay and Anheuser-Busch, to name a few.

Michael Walker, Jr.: Design Engineer
Walker brings the next generation of experience to Walker Electric. A graduate of Bellarmine University with a BS in Mathematics, Walker launched his career with our company while still in college. His experience in all aspects of project infrastructure, from maintenance to manual labor, gives him unique perspective as he grows within the company to provide superior service and solutions for Walker clients.
